This project is being built on a land of 120 hectares in 5 km of Damghan city for the purpose of steel production.
General description
Damghan desert steel company was established 5 km from Damghan city. This company was established to produce steel. This factory has a production capacity of 300,000 tons. The production units include reclamation, steelmaking and rolling units.
Specific details
Steel production takes place in three stages:
1- Production of sponge iron from iron ore using coal
2- Production of ingots from sponge iron and scrap
3- Production of steel products from steel ingots
The products of this factory are all kinds of steel ingots that are produced in induction furnaces under 3sp and 5sp standards in sections of 130×130 and 150x150mm as continuous casting (CCM).
